Abstract: A palladium-catalyzed cascade cyclization reaction of di-o-iodophenyl sulfonylguanidines with isocyanides for the efficient and selective synthesis of 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic fused quinazolines has been developed. Diverse functional groups are well tolerated, and this method has been successfully applied to a larger scale synthesis.
